The I-35 NAFTA corridor — Laredo up through San Antonio and Austin, on into Dallas–Fort Worth — carries the bulk of cross-border manufacturing freight moving between Mexico and the upper Midwest. That one ribbon of asphalt, and the trucks running it, are first-priority on a Texas breakdown.
