About On The Road Again

24/7 mobile truck repair across the Plains.

A mobile diesel fleet, a fully-stocked service truck on every dispatch, and the certifications fleets ask about before they sign a retainer. Here is how we work.

Who we are

Mobile dispatch across the seven-state corridor.

On The Road Again Truck Repair is a mobile-only diesel, brake, electrical, and welding service built around the freight-heavy I-35 / I-40 / I-70 / I-25 corridor. Every tech on the roster is full-time, every service truck is stocked for first-visit completion, and every dispatch is answered by the same Chad who runs the route — no call-center triage, no after-hours handoff to a stranger.

What rolls to your truck

Four equipment classes staged across the corridor.

Every dispatch leaves from a yard already loaded with the parts most likely to be needed on that kind of call. The truck at your shoulder is not a parts-chase vehicle — it is the repair.

mobile diagnostic rigs
Laptop-based Jaltest scanners, multimeters, air-brake pressure gauges, and infrared thermometers — diagnostic on first visit, not on a follow-up tow.
jump-pack trucks
Lithium jump packs and a portable boost rig on every light-duty call so a dead battery at 2 a.m. on I-40 does not end with a tow to a parking lot.
weld rigs
MIG-welding capability on the truck — frame cracks, crossmember repairs, fifth-wheel bracket fixes, and trailer suspension work all get welded in place.
lift-equipped trailers
Trailers (and tractors) too heavy to push off the shoulder get a lift-equipped trailer and a second tech — no third-party wrecker handoff, no waiting on a third dispatcher.
Certifications & compliance

How we stay dispatchable on your audit.

Fleet vetting and insurance carrier reviews ask about the same three things — credentials, compliance, and drug-screen program. We keep each one on file and ready to share.

ASE-certified diesel techsNational Institute for Automotive Service Excellence credentials on file, current and renewable on the operator’s schedule.
DOT complianceCVSA-aligned inspection process, written reports your safety or insurance reviewer can audit.
drug-screen programRandom and post-incident drug-screen program — operators can request the policy on enrollment.

Insurance carriers and corporate safety reviewers tend to ask for the same package — current ASE credentials, our DOT compliance process, and the drug-screen policy. We share it on request during onboarding so procurement teams can clear us without an extra round of emails.

Credentials, insurance certificates, and the drug-screen policy are available on request during onboarding.
Where we run

How we are different

Tow yards and breakdown shops make money from broken trucks. We do not.

A traditional tow-yard or breakdown shop is paid by the day, by the tow-mile, and by the parts mark-up — every extra hour the truck sits is revenue. Our model flips that: you pay a flat diagnostic fee and an hourly tech rate after the first hour, and we get paid once the truck rolls. The faster we close out a fault, the cheaper your invoice, and the sooner your driver gets back to revenue. That difference shows up in how the dispatch works, how the trucks are stocked, and how the techs prioritise their routes.

  • Flat diagnostic fee

Quoted before we roll, so there is no incentive to fabricate a longer repair.

  • Hourly tech rate after the first hour

Same Chad answers the after-hours call as rolls the truck — no third dispatcher, no unfamiliar sub-contractor.
